Indiana Young Engineer of the Year Award

This award was established to recognize young ISPE members for their exceptional technical contributions to the engineering profession, their contributions to their communities, and to ISPE in the early years of their careers.

Qualifications: Any licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer Intern (EI) and NSPE member in good standing, who is 35 years of age or younger as of January first in the year the award is to be presented, is eligible for nomination. Current officers of ISPE are not eligible for nomination.

Selection of the recipient based on the following criteria:

  • Collegiate educational and extracurricular achievements
  • Professional society activities, positions held, and achievements
  • Technical society activities, positions held, and achievements
  • Community and humanitarian activities, positions held, and achievements
  • Continuing professional competency
  • Career positions and responsibilities after completion of Baccalaureate degree
  • Engineering career achievements
